ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organisation, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact, there are over one million companies and organisations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001.

This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. These principles are explained in more detail in the pdf Quality Management Principles. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.

Forklift truck dealers, maintenance and service providers, training companies and suppliers who have a well-established company in the forklift truck industry should consider Full Membership. Full Members are placed in either the manufacturers, suppliers and services category, or the dealers and trainers category, depending on the primary function and size of the organisation.

All Full Member applicants must meet the following basic standards before their application will be considered:

– For the dealer category, it’s recommended that the company employs a minimum of 2 engineers
– The company must have been in business for a minimum of 2 years
– The company must have Employers’ liability insurance of at least five million pounds
– The Association recommends Public and Product liability insurance of at least five million pounds
– Carry out regular servicing and Thorough – – Examinations (in accordance with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998), where appropriate as per hire contract.
– The Association recommends accreditation to CFTS

The SafeContractor scheme is an SSIP-approved health and safety assessment scheme for contractors who want to demonstrate that they’re taking responsibility for their legal health and safety requirements.

When you join us, you are guided through an accreditation process that ensures your health and safety paperwork is up to date and meets legal industry requirements. Once you have completed the accreditation process you are ‘accredited’ and added to our client portal, which is accessed by over 370 of our big brand clients looking for approved contractors to work on their site. You also receive an accreditation certificate and van sticker to prove you have the SafeContractor seal of approval.

JOSCAR is an accreditation system for the defence industry.

JOSCAR is an accreditation system for the aerospace, defence and security sectors. The system was established following an initiative led by ADS Group and includes a growing number of prime contractors as registered buyers.

A risk management tool that objectively assesses potential vendor risks, proportionally to products and services being provided and across areas of compliance. Holding common supplier data in a central system allows information to be accessed by all participating buying organisations.

RTITB is the ‘Road Transport Industry Training Board’ RTITB is a cross-sector global organisation and a preferred regulatory body for workplace transport training. Carrylift have been accredited by the RTITB to train your employees to operate materials handling equipment.
